“Laughter connects you with people. It’s almost impossible to maintain any kind of distance or any sense of social hierarchy when you’re just howling with laughter. Laughter is a force for democracy.”
John Cleese
Gosh we need to down a bottle of what Isaac carries; a fun-loving, joy-bringing, encouragement-giver and initiator of laughter. His soul is pre-programmed to fly in the face of seriousness and give two fingers to the obstacles and challenges that hinder lightness in the souls of those he meets.
I love the deeper reason for Isaac’s approach to life; to come alongside people in their troubles, challenges, difficulties and self doubts. To help change their frame of mind through the healing nature of laughter.
Connection happens when we let our guard down, when we risk admitting that we don’t have it all together. Isn’t it interesting that as we admit our failings and become vulnerable, it’s through this door that joy and encouragement can enter. Strength, hope and life follow.
In times like these, we should all be looking for opportunities to bring joy to those around us - to just be silly and really, really laugh. Everyone wins and life becomes lighter.
